Part I — Scope and framework
1.Purpose, status and order of precedence
1.1This Storage Policy (the “Policy”) sets out the administrative Storage Fees that may become payable where a Position remains open beyond the storage-free period published for the relevant instrument.
1.2All Standard, Raw and Elite Accounts offered by Royce are structured as Islamic Accounts. This Policy applies to those Accounts automatically and requires no separate application or eligibility assessment.
1.3This Policy forms part of the agreement between the Client and the applicable Royce contracting entity. It must be read together with the Client Agreement, the Products Table or Contract Specifications, the Order Execution Policy, the Risk Disclosure Policy and any Account-specific terms.
1.4The Products Table published for the relevant entity, Account and instrument governs the storage-free period, the Storage Fee amount, the fee currency, the calculation unit, the charging frequency, the Rollover time and any instrument-specific exception. A Transaction-specific term prevails for the Transaction it expressly addresses.
2.Defined terms
2.1In this Policy, the terms set out below have the meanings given to them. Capitalised terms that are not defined in this Policy have the meaning given to them in the Client Agreement.
| Term | Meaning |
| Account | A trading account maintained for the Client by the applicable Royce contracting entity. |
| Applicable Law | All binding laws, regulations, rules, licence conditions, regulatory directions, sanctions, market requirements and legal obligations applicable to the entity, the Client, the Account, a Position or a service. |
| Approved Medium | The Client Portal, the Trading Platform, the Website, verified email or another communication channel approved by Royce. |
| Business Day | A day on which banks are open for normal business in the jurisdiction of the applicable Royce entity, excluding weekends and public holidays, unless the relevant product requires another calendar. |
| Client | The person or entity accepted as the Account holder in Royce’s records. |
| Manifest Error | An obvious pricing, execution, data, configuration, posting or system error that a reasonable person with relevant market knowledge would recognise. |
| Position | An open market exposure recorded in the Account. |
| Products Table | The current product or Contract Specifications table published by Royce for the relevant entity, Account and instrument. |
| Rollover | The daily platform processing point used to determine whether an open Position continues into the next applicable holding period. |
| Royce | The Royce contracting entity identified in Section 3 with which the Client has contracted. A reference to Royce is a reference to that entity only. |
| Storage Fee | A disclosed administrative position-holding charge applied in accordance with this Policy and the Products Table. |
| Storage-free period | The number of applicable Rollover events stated for an instrument during which no Storage Fee is charged. |
| Trading Platform | An electronic system made available or approved by Royce for Account access or trading. |
| Transaction | An executed trade or other dealing recorded in the Account. |
3.Contracting entity and product availability
| Contracting entity | Regulatory status | Product availability |
| Royce Global Markets Limited |
Financial Services Commission, Mauritius; Investment Dealer (Full Service Dealer, excluding Underwriting); licence GB25205368 |
Only instruments approved and made available for the relevant Account |
| Royce Capitals Ltd. |
Labuan Financial Services Authority; Labuan Money-Broking Business; licence MB/23/0113; company number LL18275 |
Only foreign-exchange products and any other products lawfully approved and made available for the relevant Account |
3.1The Client’s account-opening record, Client Portal and statements identify the contracting entity. Each Client contracts with one Royce entity only. The entities do not contract jointly, and the licence held by one entity does not extend to the other.
3.2This Policy applies only to products offered by the Client’s contracting entity. The appearance of a product on a group Website or on a combined Products Table does not mean that every Royce entity offers, or is authorised to offer, that product.
3.3Storage terms may differ by contracting entity, Account type, instrument, Position direction, market conditions, liquidity or execution arrangements. The terms published for the relevant entity, Account and instrument apply.
3.4Royce may apply jurisdictional, regulatory, product, platform, liquidity-provider, onboarding or operational restrictions. Product availability and storage terms are not guaranteed to be identical for every Client or Account.
Part II — Storage-free periods and fee calculation
4.Storage-free periods
4.1The storage-free period begins when the Position is executed and is counted, for charging purposes, by reference to the daily Rollover events through which the Position remains open. Each applicable Rollover event counts as one storage-free day.
4.2A Storage Fee becomes chargeable only where the Position remains open at the first chargeable Rollover after all storage-free Rollover events stated in the Products Table have been used.
4.3Where the Products Table states that a Storage Fee applies from the first Rollover, the fee becomes chargeable at the first applicable Rollover after execution. Where an instrument is designated as carrying no Storage Fee, no fee applies for so long as that designation remains effective.
4.4Each newly executed Position ordinarily receives its own storage-free period. Royce may treat successive or coordinated Positions as a continuation of the same economic exposure where they are repeatedly closed and reopened primarily to avoid Storage Fees.
| Product category | Current storage treatment |
| Major FX pairs | The first 14 applicable Rollover events are storage-free |
| Cross FX pairs | The first 7 applicable Rollover events are storage-free |
| Metals | The first 14 applicable Rollover events are storage-free |
| Exotic FX pairs | A Storage Fee applies from the first applicable Rollover |
| Spot indices | A Storage Fee applies from the first applicable Rollover |
| Spot energies | A Storage Fee applies from the first applicable Rollover |
| Futures indices | No Storage Fee while designated accordingly in the Products Table |
| Energy futures | No Storage Fee while designated accordingly in the Products Table |
The published Products Table for the relevant entity, Account and instrument is authoritative and may contain symbol-specific exceptions.
5.Calculation of Storage Fees
5.1Once the applicable storage-free period has expired, the Storage Fee published for the instrument is charged at each chargeable Rollover at which the Position remains open.
5.2Unless the Products Table provides otherwise, the charge is calculated by multiplying the published Storage Fee rate by the chargeable lot, contract or other stated volume of the open Position.
5.3The Products Table may specify the same or different Storage Fees for buy and sell Positions. It may also prescribe an instrument-specific charging day, multi-day multiplier, weekend treatment, minimum charge or other calculation convention.
5.4The applicable Rollover time is the server or platform time displayed in the Products Table, the Contract Specifications or the Trading Platform. That time may change as a result of daylight-saving time, market hours or provider schedules.
6.Partial closures and hedged Positions
6.1A Storage Fee is calculated only on the volume that remains open at the chargeable Rollover. Volume validly closed before that Rollover is excluded from that charge.
6.2Each open Position is assessed independently. Both legs of a hedged or offsetting arrangement may incur separate Storage Fees where both remain open at a chargeable Rollover.
7.Weekends, holidays and multi-day charges
7.1Storage Fees may accrue in respect of weekends and public holidays while a Position remains open. Charges attributable to non-trading or non-processing days may be accumulated and posted as a single multi-day charge before or after the relevant period.
7.2The Products Table may provide different weekend, holiday or multi-day treatment for a particular instrument. The absence of a separate daily entry does not mean that no charge has accrued.
8.Currency conversion and rounding
8.1The Products Table states the currency in which the Storage Fee is denominated. Where that currency differs from the Account base currency, Royce may convert the fee at the applicable platform, provider or commercially reasonable conversion rate at the time the fee is posted.
8.2A converted Storage Fee may be rounded in accordance with the supported decimal precision of the Account currency and the processing rules of the Trading Platform.
Part III — Account effect and records
9.Effect on the Account
9.1Storage Fees are debited from the relevant Account when due and reduce the Account balance, equity and free Margin. They may contribute to a Margin Call, a stop-out or the automatic closure of Positions.
9.2A Storage Fee remains payable even where the Account has insufficient free Margin. Royce may debit the Account, restrict withdrawals, place the Account in close-only mode, close Positions or exercise another proportionate right under the Client Agreement.
9.3Any resulting negative balance is treated under the negative-balance provisions of the Client Agreement. Nothing in this Policy expands or restricts the protection available under those provisions.
10.Records, statements and objections
10.1Storage Fees may be recorded in the Trading Platform, the Account history, a periodic statement or another Approved Medium. An entry may identify the charge as “Storage Fee” together with the instrument, volume, posting date and amount.
10.2The Client must review charges promptly and notify Royce of a specific objection without undue delay and, in any event, within five Business Days after the charge becomes available. This period does not prevent the correction of a Manifest Error or affect a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Part IV — Conduct, controls and changes
11.Permitted and prohibited use
11.1The storage arrangements described in this Policy must be used in good faith, and not primarily to avoid disclosed position-holding costs or to obtain an artificial benefit unrelated to genuine market exposure.
11.2Prohibited conduct includes:
- repeatedly closing and reopening substantially the same exposure primarily to reset a storage-free period;
- coordinating related Accounts to avoid Storage Fees;
- using multiple identities or entities to obtain repeated storage-free periods;
- exploiting an incorrect storage configuration;
- storage-cost arbitrage between Royce Accounts;
- misrepresenting beneficial ownership;
- exploiting a platform, pricing or calculation error;
- fraud; and
- unauthorised use of an Account.
11.3Profitable trading, hedging, scalping, high-frequency trading and the use of Expert Advisers are not prohibited or abusive merely by label. Royce must have regard to the actual purpose, pattern and economic substance of the activity.
12.Information requests, investigation and remedies
12.1Royce may request information reasonably necessary to verify beneficial ownership, related Accounts, coordinated activity, funding relationships, the economic purpose of trading, or a suspected platform, pricing, configuration or calculation error.
12.2Royce may investigate where it has reasonable grounds supported by Account, trading, payment, device, network, identity, ownership, relationship or execution evidence.
12.3Unless urgent protective action is reasonably required, Royce will notify the Client of the concern and provide a reasonable opportunity to supply information or an explanation.
12.4Depending on the seriousness of the matter, the evidence and the urgency, Royce may:
- request information or issue a warning;
- prevent new Positions from receiving additional storage-free periods;
- aggregate successive or coordinated Positions for Storage Fee purposes;
- restrict new Orders or place the Account in close-only mode;
- correct a proven configuration or calculation error;
- close affected Positions where permitted; or
- suspend or terminate the Account for serious or repeated abuse.
12.5A remedy must be proportionate and consistent with Applicable Law. Royce will not impose an undisclosed penalty, and will not retrospectively charge for a period that was validly storage-free, merely because the Client traded profitably.
13.Changes to storage terms
13.1Royce may amend storage-free periods, Storage Fees, product eligibility, Rollover treatment or calculation conventions to reflect regulation, market conditions, liquidity or execution arrangements, provider charges, product design, technology, errors or operational risk.
13.2A change applies prospectively from its published effective date. It may apply from that date to a Position that remains open, but will not be charged retrospectively for a completed period before that effective date.
13.3Royce will provide reasonable advance notice of a material adverse change where practicable. A change may take immediate or shorter-notice effect where required by law, regulatory direction, exceptional market conditions, provider dependency, error correction, security or material operational risk.
14.Product restriction, suspension and termination
14.1Royce will not convert an Islamic Account into another account structure under this Policy.
14.2Where a storage arrangement, instrument or service is no longer available, lawful or operationally supportable, Royce may restrict new Positions, remove access to the product, place the Account in close-only mode, close affected Positions where permitted, suspend Services or terminate the Account under the Client Agreement.
14.3Where reasonably practicable, Royce will notify the Client of the effective date and the treatment of existing Positions. Those Positions may remain open subject to newly published Storage Fees, be placed in close-only mode, be required to be closed within a reasonable period, or be closed where required by law, regulation, market conditions or material risk.
14.4Restriction, suspension or termination does not affect accrued Storage Fees, completed Transactions, outstanding obligations or provisions intended to survive.
Part V — Client obligations and general provisions
15.Client responsibilities and risk
15.1Before opening a Position, and for so long as it remains open, the Client must:
- review the applicable Products Table;
- monitor the number of Rollover events;
- review the Storage Fees charged;
- maintain sufficient funds and Margin; and
- monitor Account history and statements.
15.2Storage Fees may accumulate and materially reduce Account equity. The Account remains exposed to market, leverage, gap, liquidity, execution, currency, technology, counterparty, Margin and stop-out risk.
15.3Platform displays and communications may assist the Client but do not transfer to Royce responsibility for monitoring Positions or charges. The Client must notify Royce promptly of a suspected error.
16.Communications and complaints
16.1Royce may publish this Policy, Products Tables and any amendment through its Website, the Client Portal, the Trading Platform, verified email or another Approved Medium. The Client must keep contact information current.
16.2Questions and complaints may be submitted to support@roycecapitals.com or through another complaints channel published by the applicable Royce entity. Complaints will be handled under the applicable Complaints Handling Policy and any mandatory regulatory route.
17.Governing terms, version control and severability
17.1This Policy is governed by the governing-law and jurisdiction provisions of the Client Agreement with the applicable Royce contracting entity.
17.2If any provision is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary or severed, without affecting the remaining provisions. A mandatory legal or regulatory requirement prevails to the extent of any conflict.
17.3This Policy is Version 1.0 and takes effect on 15 August 2026. Royce may publish an updated version in accordance with Section 13.
17.4The official version is the version published through an Approved Medium by the applicable Royce entity. The Client should retain a copy together with the Products Table applicable to the Position.
